Age no bar for the Rangers

Rangers against Bangalore Reds match in the BDFA C Division Dowlath Khan Knockout Trophy was like two generations pitted against each other. If Bangalore Reds represented youth then Rangers was all about experience.

What’s the average age of the Rangers? 45 years, yes, and this is no typo! Yet the experience of the Veterans, oops, the Rangers prevailed over the Reds, who were visibly half of the age of the Rangers.

The Rangers team is full of experienced players who turned-out for city’s top club during their playing heydays. This team has former players from ITI - Sundaresh, Indrajith, Andrew (all represented National junior team), Kanikraj, Harry Frank, Annapakumar,
Ashokan, Sathytan and former players from HAL who also represented Karnataka in the Santosh Trophy - Philips, Lawrence, and Gangadhara.

The Rangers might have past their prime, yet have the dedication and stamina to play a 70-minute competitive match, and take their team to the final round.

Garden City Soccer Stars salutes the footballing spirit of the Rangers. All the best for the finals!
